​The laws relating to people seeking asylum in Australia have changed rapidly in the last few years. Most asylum seekers are now placed into the community, however without permanent residency or access to Centrelink support  most find it very difficult to obtain food and shelter. The Social Responsibilities Committee continues to engage with this issue and advocate for fair and just solutions.
