About the seminars

Dear Clergy and Authorised Lay Ministers,
Please find below updated Professional Standards Seminars (PS) for 2018.

It is a requirement of Archbishop in Council that all clergy and lay ministers attend this seminar. Churchwardens and vestry members should also attend.

Please note that these training seminars are different to that of the OH&S training that was run in 2015 and the current Child Safe Standards Seminars.  These seminars have been updated from the previous PSA11 training that most Clergy have attended.  Professional Standards Seminars should be completed every 3 years and anyone who has not attended a seminar since 2013 should attend one in 2018.

Professional Standards Seminars are facilitated by Ms Angela Cannon and are limited to 30 people.
All persons wishing to attend must register via email to clearances@melbourneanglican.org.au
Once registered - you will be sent an email advising of your registration and details of the day’s events.
We are in the process of arranging more seminars for the year and these dates will be added to this page shortly.
If you are wish to attend a seminar and have not done so, please revisit this page again.
We are in the process of setting the 2019 seminars.
Should your parish be interested in hosting the seminar please contact Sophia at clearances@melbourneanglican.org.au.
We will have the 2019 Professional Standards Seminar dates and venues available from 27 November 2018.
Please revisit this site on or after this date.
We thank you for your patience.

Delegates will be required to sign the attendance sheet at the conclusion of the seminar to allow for entry into the Diocesan database.

NB: If you have attended a Professional Standards Act seminar in the past three years you do not need to attend this seminar again. If you have not attended any – you are required to do so as soon as possible if you are in a ministry role.
