A parish is the local expression of the Anglican church, and should be your first port of call if you are seeking baptism, marriage, funeral ministry, spiritual or pastoral care, or any other church or faith related need.
Please use our Find a church facility to locate a parish near you.
A parish usually has a church building and a minister or team of ministers and other staff. As well as weekly worship, parishes may offer other services as described above, bible studies, fellowship, children and families ministries, information and counselling or social assistance.
Traditionally, parishes and their congregations have been geographically based, but parishioners may travel some distance to attend the parish church of their choice. Parishes may be single centre (one church building where people gather) or multi-centre (more than one church building in different locations).
