St Paul's Ringwood

On Saturday 30 November 2013 there were thirty-eight baptisms of Sudanese children and young people at St Paul’s Ringwood.

Many of the South Sudanese children had not been baptised in the refugee camps — and some have been born in Australia since the families came to Australia.

Due to the disruption of family and church life through war in South Sudan it became difficult to be baptised. Since coming to Australia and attending bible studies parents have become aware of the importance of baptism both for themselves and their children.

Sudanese priests and Lay Readers assisted the Vicar in the preparation of the children and also in the Service which was followed by sharing a meal together.

A wonderful, happy time for all involved!!!
